#29: In My Own Little Corner with Paige Faure

Click here to listen to the episode!

Remember when celebrity after celebrity cycled through the Broadway production of Cinderella in the principle roles? If you saw it in the summer of 2014, you would have caught the one stretch of the run in which Ella was played by one of Broadway’s own triple threat performers in her first title role on Broadway, Paige Faure. Join host Sally Fuller as she chats with Faure about what it’s like to perform with celebrities like Daniel Radcliffe, how lead actors can set the tone for a cast, and how a dash of luck and helping friends out can land you a Broadway dream.

For the budding theatre fans

Watch Paige sing the lovely and strangely contented “I want”-type song, “In My Own Little Corner”

This is such a sweet love song, y’all. I love Paige’s interpretation, how you can see she’s taken aback at what the prince is saying to her (like after he says the line “she’s an angel” for the first time, you can see her kind of point to herself and mouth the word “Me?” to herself).

For the fangirls

Take a backstage tour of all the costumes and sets from the tour with Paige herself!

For the die-hards

Let’s take a look at that stage magic she was talking about! Here are the transformations from the Broadway version.
